The five-axis CNC machining training area of the Numerical Control Technology major has introduced a German DMG MORI five-axis CNC machining center. This CNC equipment is equipped with a Siemens control system and adopts a B-C axis linkage structure layout. It is equipped with a chain tool magazine and has the function of automatic tool changing, which meets the processing requirements of concentrated processes and improves processing efficiency. The machine tool is internally equipped with an online detection probe to achieve integration of processing and detection, featuring a high-speed spindle and multi-axis linkage. It meets the CNC processing needs for complex-shaped precision parts, especially for products with free-form surfaces such as impeller blades. Currently, this equipment is mainly used for trial processing of research products, serving research projects, and also serves as a training ground for preparing and improving skills for World Vocational College Skills Competitions. It has contributed to winning the gold medal in the multi-axis CNC machining technology competition at the 2024 WorldSkills Competition once.
